About Us

A little about me as an individual and trainer…


I consider myself extremely blessed growing up as I was encouraged to maintain a lifestyle centered on sports and being active.  My parents throughout my childhood carted me around to far too many swim meets and practices.  As I grew older and entered college, fell in love with weightlifting and, not knowing it at the time, began my career toward becoming a personal fitness trainer.

In addition to a ACE-PT and NSCA-CSCS certification, I earned a bachelor of science in Psychology with an emphasis on behavioral neuroscience which has allowed me to gain a substantial understanding of how the human body functions and the behaviors we perform.  My mom loves to ask me how my Psychology degree applies to this profession and how it is useful and I chuckle each time she asks.  Behavioral neuroscience focuses heavily upon how neural activity influences our actions and behaviors.  Your success in reaching your fitness goals has a positive significant correlation with your adherence to the program.  In other words, the more you stick to your program, the greater the likelihood of success in reaching that goal.

            Our Doctrine
 

Fitness should be a natural component within everyone's lives.  We strongly believe (and know!) that fitness provides a plethora of benefitial components that are necessary and vital to enjoying the lives we lead.  We are also aware that the average Joe or Jane dislikes going through the process people commonly know as "fitness." 

 

We at Natural Athletics believe in focusing on finding a style of training or activity that you thoroughly enjoy (or can tolerate) and assist you in reaching the level of fitness you desire.  No matter where you start, there is always one step further.  Let us help guide you through the progression and turmoils of fitness to the body you desire!

 

 

 

            How we Differ

 

We are mobile conditioning specialists that cater to the needs of a hectic personal and social life.  We understand that life can become quite chaotic and fitness is often shoved onto the backburner.  We specialize in reshaping and reforming your exercise habits by reshaping and reforming your behaviors.  Regardless of where you start, the focus is on finding a way to incorporate proper fitness into your daily life and shift your perception of fitness to a positive outlook.

 

We at Natural Athletics make it a priority to reinforce behaviors and patterns that focus on incorporating fitness and healthier habits to greatly assist you as you push forward to reach your long term goals.  We know the hardest part of fitness is sticking with program and continue to push forward even when you have zero desire to do so.  Our approach eases you into fitness and allows you to comfortably transition into a more active lifestyle that will in the long run make you a happier and healthier individual.

            What to expect

 

The body is exceptionally smart in the sense that it will not hcnage its composition willy nilly.  The body must be challenged and pushed outside its comfort zone in order to elicit physiological changes.  With this in mind, expect these workouts to kick your butt.  We will push you to your respective limits and assist you in developing introspection to become more aware of the relative intensities.

 

The typical training session lasts between 45 to 60 minutes, depending on your current fitness level.  We incorporate proper warm up and cool down in each and every workout and provide homework after each session to keep you progressing toward your goals!
